FLAVORS FOR THE SEA
This is my version of Old Bay seasoning without the salt. When used with Dungeness crab meat which is saline already, there usually is no need for more salt. I use about 1 teaspoon spice blend per pound of crab meat when making crab cakes, for example, and I rarely add salt. It is great with seafood, of all kinds.
- 1 tablespoon celery seed
- 1 tablespoon ground cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon cumin
Blend and reserve in dry air tight container. Use with seafood of all kinds.
