PANNA COTTA, CHOCOLATE BUTTERMILK
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 package gelatin
- 2/3 cup heavy cream (whipping cream)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon espresso powder
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
Place all ingredients except chocolate into sauce pan and bring to simmer to dissolve sugar and espresso powder. Add the chips and melt completely. Strain into serving bowl or spoon strained mixture into individual dishes. Let set up in refrigerator before serving. At service add a flavored whipped cream (vanilla, cocoa, kirschwasser, or amaretto) and garnish with ribbon cut of fresh mint and/or sprinkle with ground chocolate covered cocoa nibs, if desired.
