SWEET PASTRY DOUGH
This one is using the Martha Stewart method. We added a little sugar to make it sweeter. Use with chocolate filling or pumpkin cream cheese filling; or with our EASTER RICOTTA PIE.
2 ½ cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- ¼ cup ice water
- 3 large egg yolks
Combine sugar and flour and salt in bowl of food processor. Pulse to combine. Add cold butter and process just until coarse meal, about 10 seconds. Blend together water and egg yolks and process just until dough holds together without being wet or sticky, 30 seconds. Form into 2 round disks; chill before rolling.
