PLUM CRAZY EVERYTHING SAUCE 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Italian plums, washed, halved, pitted
  • 2 #303 can Italian plum tomatoes with juice
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Method:

Place plums and canned tomatoes into a sauce pot on medium heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until plums are soft and skin falls off. While hot place through food mill to remove skin. Place liquid and fruit “meat” back into sauce pot add remaining ingredients saving vinegar and salt to last. Taste mixture before adding vinegar and salt. Bring back to simmer and then cool in refrigerator until needed.
