*Quinoa acts like a grain, can be used the same as grain, but is actually a relative to grass, tumbleweed and  leafy green vegetables like spinach and beets! Known as “the gold of the Incas,” the seeds of this Peruvian native plant provides high quality complete protein and is rich with minerals. Since quinoa doesn’t have  much flavor of its own, it takes well to flavorful dressings, condiments or just a good olive oil with salt and pepper. This is an easy to like good-for-you food; why not make a little extra to be in the ready to add to dishes for nutritional reinforcement?
