APPLES and/or PEARS, SAUTEED
2 tart apples or pears or combination,, peeled, cored, sliced 1/4 inch
1 Tablespoon whole butter
2-4 Tablespoons sugar, depending on taste plus pinch of salt
1-2 ounce apple brandy, optional
Melt butter in saute pan; add apple slices, sugar and salt over medium low heat and cook until apples are tender and sugar is melted. Remove from heat and splash with apple brandy and place on heat until alcohol burns off. Serve with fresh ham.
